Wines you should try this fall!

What wines should you try this fall? What wines will fit well with Halloween candy? What wine should I pair with turkey?

These are all questions we ask ourselves.

First of all Red Zinfandel is amazing with turkey’s, stew’s and cranberry sauce in my opinion. Red Zin’s are spicy and fruity. Very deep in color. 2001-2002 red zin’s have been rated 90-95. Good wines.

Here are a quick list of Red Zinfandel’s you should check out:

2007 Bonterra Zinfandel $10-15 2007

Ridge Vineyards Geyserville Sonoma Zinfandel $18

Bogle Old Vine Zinfandel 2006- $9 to $16

I’d also recommend to try sparkling white wine with salmon, quiches, creamy pastas and even chocolate!

Also try some Pinot Noir’s with pot roasts and meat loaf type of food.

In my opinion the Pinot Noir from New Zealand has a bit of a punch to it and is really good. So if you’re lucky and get your hands on that please try that out. :)

I just want you guys to try something new, pair it up with something that you’re not quite sure  if fits or not and just try it.  Maybe you’ve found something awesome, maybe you’ve found something your palate enjoys!

What wines have you had this fall that you’ve paired with Autumn type foods?

Welcome to Wine, Beans & Brew Episode #03

I review the 2008 Alamos Malbec from Mendoza, Argentina.

88/100

Dark red color, amazing nose. To me I got a hint of violets and blueberries on the nose. More blueberries, like grated chocolate maybe with a mix of violet. Really good wine with a spicy finish!

Made a funny video clip of me being stressed out and hustling like crazy on my way to the mall to pick up wine for Wine, Beans & Brew.
